About this site (and me)

If you should happen to stumble across this site somehow you might be wondering what the point is, so I figured a little background might help.

The process of creating and the satisfaction of seeing and holding something that I made has always been at the core of everything I’ve enjoyed in my life, from Lego to scale modelling to software development. Unfortunately I somehow didn’t quite make this connection until a few years ago, so I’m now slowly trying to accumulate the skills and tools to turn an occasional hobby from my childhood into the more serious part of my life that it really always has been.

I’ve had various domains and websites over the years that were really just used for trivial things, so I figured I might as well make use of something that’s just sitting around unused to document all the projects I’m trying out. This website is mostly a journal for me to keep track of things I’ve done – things that worked out and things that didn’t. I also felt that if I was putting in all the effort to do this for me, there’s no reason I couldn’t also make it somewhat public in case anything I do here can help someone else.

If what I write here can give anyone useful information or tips for their own projects then that’s pretty awesome. The more important thing I hope people take away is to make more of an effort to figure out who you really are – what the common themes are behind everything you love to do – as early as possible. Don’t miss the opportunity to make that a bigger part of your life.
